Don’t Run

Don’t try to run

There’s no where you can hide,

that grief won’t find you.

You can’t run from what’s a part of you now

So please know this,

In a world conditioned to shrink oneself

In a world of ‘either or’

Happy or Sad

Good or Bad

Joy or Sorrow

You can be both.

You can be all.

So when death comes for them

And leaves you behind in the aftermath

Know that Hope always holds its door open for you,

even on the days you can’t see it.

And there’s no need to hide or make yourself small

There’s enough room

You can be all.
